This game brought a whole new level of realism to the Star Wars universe. You were now a soldier on the ground in a battle, not just a firefight but a battle. The soldier classes were unique too, sure not to the Star Wars universe, but they were unique to any 3rd person action shooter in that you could have special characters with special abilities. The jedi knights were always fun to play, and the fact you had to earn them was probably the best way to have done it.
The environments were always cool, be it the effects (like fog) on the map or the map itself that was unique. Taking place entirely in the Star Wars universe was maybe not original, but it sure did provide gamers with a more in depth view of where storied battles took place, and gave them a chance to participate in them.
The space battles were sweet too, as well as the navigation menu to reach the battles. Very neat feature, very unique.
